2004 Australian Conference of Science and Medicine in Sport
7 - 9 October 2004, Alice Springs Convention Centre, Australia

HOT TOPICS FROM THE RED CENTRE, including:

  • Sports medicine in rural and remote locations
  • Physical activity and bone and joint health
  • Exercise and genes
  • Sports injury: What do we know, and what can we do?
  • Physical activity and chronic disease
The Conference Committee is calling for abstracts for podium and poster presentations which address the conference topics.

Papers must be submitted by 19 March 2004. Please see the Conference website for details.

Researchers are also invited to join with colleagues to submit a group of three or four abstracts which focus on any aspect of the Conference topics, to be presented in a single symposium session. Those authors wishing to submit their papers as part of a symposium session must also submit a separate abstract outlining the proposed session via the symposium submission website.

The Australian Conference of Science and Medicine in Sport is a multidisciplinary meeting held annually for professionals with an interest or a specialisation in sport. It is coordinated by Sports Medicine Australia and usually includes the annual meeting of most of the professional bodies involved in sports science and sports medicine in Australia.
