Social Media Promotion
As a member association, academic institution, or allied health member of the World Federation of Athletic Training and Therapy, you have access to WFATT’s social media platforms to help promote your organization’s events to a global audience.
WFATT members may submit both free and revenue-generating conferences, webinars, educational activities, and other events for promotion through WFATT’s social media channels and website. Posting opportunities may be subject to WFATT sponsorship or other agreements that affect the type, frequency, or timing of promotional content.
Non-Revenue-Generating Events
WFATT will provide unlimited complimentary promotion for member events that are offered at no cost to participants.
Eligible events may be promoted through one or more of the following WFATT channels:
-
Facebook
-
Instagram
-
LinkedIn
-
X/Twitter
Revenue-Generating Events
For events that generate revenue through registration fees or other charges, WFATT will provide up to three complimentary promotional posts across its social media platforms. Members may purchase three additional posts for $25 USD.
Facebook and Instagram Post Boosts
Members may also request that eligible Facebook or Instagram posts be boosted to reach a larger or more targeted audience.
Boosting costs vary depending on factors such as the intended audience, geographic reach, and duration of the campaign. The member is responsible for the cost charged by Facebook or Instagram, plus a $5 USD WFATT administration fee per boost.
Boosting can significantly increase the visibility of an event. For example, a recent WFATT boosted post reached approximately 68,000 people over one week, compared with approximately 1,000 people for a typical non-boosted post.
Reach will vary depending on the content, audience, platform, budget, and duration of the campaign.
How to Promote Your Event with WFATT
Members interested in promoting an event should submit a completed WFATT Advertisement Application (below).
Materials should be submitted no later than one month before the event. Submissions will be reviewed by the WFATT Marketing Committee prior to posting.
Please note that WFATT does not create promotional copy, graphics, or other advertising materials on behalf of members. All final text and images must be supplied by the member organization and be ready for publication. Proof of ownership of all images must be provided at time of application.
